Hi, I’m Quentin Royles, a passionate chef with 28 years of experience in the culinary world. Cooking has always been my true love, especially when it involves working with fire. I believe in the art of nose to tail eating, appreciating and utilising every part of the ingredients I work with.
One aspect that sets my cooking apart is my dedication to using local ingredients from Dorset and Hampshire. I firmly believe in supporting local farmers and producers, as well as showcasing the incredible flavors and quality that our region has to offer. By working closely with local suppliers, I ensure that each dish I create reflects the unique tastes and freshness of the ingredients.
As Head Chef at Thomas Tripp, my philosophy revolves around showcasing the best ingredients and flavors in every dish I create. I am committed to providing unforgettable culinary experiences that delight the senses and leave a lasting impression.

We serve great tasting dishes with little fuss, classic combinations and lots of flavour. We are committed to sourcing local and seasonal produce but above all it’s the quality that counts.
Food is served in all areas of the pub and in the lovely covered beer garden along with heaters on the cooler evenings.
In the warmer months, we often cook our dishes in our purpose built Wood Oven in our courtyard garden, serving up flatbreads alongside our seasonal choices.
